Dear Rapids, Boot Camp will run Mon July 28th - Fri Aug 1st 9am-12pm 98s, 97s, 96s 5-8pm 94s, 92s, 91s All players need to bring tennis shoes and soccer cleats. The primary function of Boot Camp is to ensure that players report back to Fall season training in the best possible shape. By working hard during Boot Camp players will report back stronger, faster, more agile and in top cardiovascular condition. Players will undergo a series of timed running exercises (both speed and endurance) which will be recorded and documented. Throughout the season players will be randomly tested again to check for time improvements. Players are encouraged to continue these exercises away from scheduled training for the optimal results. In addition teams will play a series of either 8 v 8 or 11 v 11 intra club scrimmages to gain positional understanding, team shape and match day fitness. Furthermore we aim on utilizing the Tree of Life Church for some part of the camp to detail our Rapids Diet and Nutrition player plan. The aim is to use the facility for the first part of Thursdays session. This will be confirmed shortly. Finally, each team will have a Team Trainer meeting so that parents / players and trainer can discuss season plan. Darren Lenton, Sean Cooney, Mark Rufo and Scott Ward will be the Rapids Training Staff this Fall / Spring. We have a talented group of professionals who are looking forward to developing your children. See you on the fields.

As many of you know, the Rapids.com site was recently the victim of a malware attack that left the web site utterly unusable. Welcome to the new Rapids.com web page. We are working to rebuilt the site, and hope to have the content and documents up and running within the week. Until that time, please look on this page for crucial information regarding the Rapids Soccer Club. I would like the thank Chris White for his help in rebuilding this site, and helping assure that the malware attack was haulted. |

We at Rapids Soccer Academy would like to take this opportunity to inform your child of a fantastic soccer opportunity! If your child is playing in the U9 or U10 age bracket and loves playing soccer then we encourage them to embrace this opportunity to develop in a professsional environment. The program has been created to provide those players who are not yet old enough to compete in the league's competitive, or "Select" program the opportunity to train with professional trainers and play against other leagues who wish to play at a more competitive level of recreational soccer. Our developmental emphasis is based upon learning the skills and techniques that will improve your childs soccer skills, at the same time as learning the tactics and game understanding needed to make them a serious soccer player. It is not about achieving a winning record at all costs. Training sessions are one hour and fifteen minutes long twice weekly at the Weston Fields. The Rapids Soccer Academy is open to any child who fits the age criteria for the Fall 2008 season. If this program is something that you are interested in, please contact our Assistant Director of Coaching, Sean Cooney at
